My editor at The Guardian asked each contributor in 27 countries in Europe to name their favorite place in their country. The idea is to show British Guardian readers that, despite Brexit, they and we still love each other, for Guardian readers are the type who appreciate Europe (and the UK's place within it). Perhaps unsurprisingly, I chose Kamnik, my adopted hometown.
